Starting out in the design world can be pretty scary and hard work. But it doesn’t have to be! Let the internet take some of the heavy lifting for you with this selection of 5 5 Copyright Free Websites that I swear by to keep my work, fresh and copyright-free without working 24/7.
5 Copyright Free Websites
Flaticon
Are you spending precious design time on creating the perfect social media icons or tiny illustrations? Flaticon has a range of free and premium icons to add an illustrative depth to your branding. The best part is that the designs come in sets to make uniform branding quick and easy.
Pexels
Looking for gorgeous stock photos or videos? Pexels has pretty much anything you could ask for, barring very specific searches.
Google fonts
Finding fonts for commercial use that aren’t subscription-based or very pricey has been a journey. Then, right under my nose is google’s resource library and a menagerie of fonts. All copyright free and able to be used in commercial work!
Freepiks
Probably the most user-unfriendly site on the list, freepiks again has free and premium stock assets available for download. Choose from a wide range of graphics, illustrations, and psd/ai files to tweak or use as-is on your projects.
PSD Mockups
One of my personal pet hates is having to design and create my own mockups on Photoshop. So this little gem of a site has saved me so many headaches by having beautiful mockups for pretty much every product you can think of!
Blogs are also fantastic resources for designers. For instance, my colour harmony post. Trying to find learning materials in easily digestible text is so difficult. Blogs are a wealth of knowledge, and are usually, well-written.

These are only just a few of the many free resources out there of course, so if you have any other sites that you swear by, let me know in the comments!
