The Review
Green Is Good: Save Money, Make Money, and Help Your Community Profit from Clean Energy by Brian F. Keane
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
The question of sustainability and going green is at the epicenter of today’s climate conundrum. What can the individual do to help the overall global condition – What can companies do? What is our responsibility? But then what is green energy?
Look no further as Brian Keane has you covered in this easily digestible book, Green is Good. The way this book is written makes it easy for the reader to understand the problems, as well as the potential solutions. There is no presumption that it is a scholarly read, like with most nonfiction books on the topic.
Green energy is the way forward. This book explores the parameters of what that means in reality, as out of the many people and corporations that agree with this, only a very small minority are actually going to do something about it.
There are so many pieces of literature written out there with the bias of it’s all or nothing to save the planet. Green is Good recognizes that yes, green is ultimately the good, but it is not the only solution – not everything else is inherently evil. Because of that I really value this as a good starting point for people who want to start their green journey of change.
